Bridge works commence at Riverside Business Park

The new bridged access is part of a regeneration scheme for Riverside Business Park. Since purchasing the site in 2001 Litton have achieved planning approval for redevelopment of the site providing high-quality employment space in the heart of the Peak District.

Funding was awarded by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership is the private sector-led Partnership which promotes economic growth across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Litton Properties submitted an outline business case for the project in September 2018 to the D2N2 Infrastructure and Investment Board where the grant application was successful.

The bridge design does require removal of buildings that remain occupied before the new access can be fully connected, however Litton are considering if an interim arrangement can be made to bring the bridge into use much sooner.
