We’re thrilled to announce that Archaeological Research Services Ltd (ARS Ltd) is expanding its presence here at Riverside Works, Bakewell, having successfully operated from the site for a number of years.
ARS Ltd specialises in investigating archaeological remains, providing valuable insights and historical knowledge for clients and society alike. They have also acted as archaeology consultants throughout for the Riverside project as pictured below.
Riverside Works is rich in history, once home to Richard Arkwright’s historic Cotton Mill, making it the perfect backdrop for ARS Ltd's continued growth. Today, our industrial legacy lives on, as Riverside Works stands as the largest business park within the Peak District National Park, fostering a dynamic hub of diverse businesses.
Will Throssel, Chief Operating Officer at ARS Ltd, shared “We’re pleased to be expanding our space at Riverside Works. Following several years of growth in the number and scale of projects across the country, we need to continue to increase our capacity for finds handling and archiving. This has also given us an opportunity to co-locate our innovative Specialist Services team and push ahead with development of our scientific services. Riverside Works is a great location for us in Bakewell, the birthplace of England.”

The current phase of new accomodation will welcome Huber, Holdsworths, Bloomers and others to the site with a further unit going under offer this week. We do have some space still available in our current phase.
