Bakewell Mannerians have secured land for their own ground, located at the junction of Shutts Lane and Monyash Road in Bakewell.
The project will be a huge financial commitment for the Club who, with limited resources, are seeking public grants, private sponsorship and the goodwill and hard work of club members. As well as a new pitch, a 'Welfare Building & Club Room' is to be erected to provide storage, toilet and first aid facilities together with a kitchenette and an area where parents, spectators and children can shelter from the elements. This is another first and very much needed facility.
The process of securing grants is underway, but a substantial degree of private sponsorship will also be needed.
