The contract for the new bridged access into the Riverside Business Park from the A6 has been awarded to Manchester based Bethell Construction Ltd. Bethell's are a specialist civils contractor and have amended the contract after a competitive tender. The project will commence in September and is planned to complete by March 2021.
The contract does not include the ramped access inside the site. The final construction requires further demolition and the new bridge will not be brought into use straight away.
