Phase 8, Employment space at Riverside Works, Bakewell

This further phase of employment space at Riverside Works, Bakewell began in early March with ground preparation undertake by sub-contractors Van Elle who drilled approx. 900 piles for the four buildings.

Litton will welcome three new companies to the site. Pre-lets have been agreed with Huber UK Temperature Control and two occupiers in the food sector who have been seeking space to expand their operations. There is further interest in the remaining space available.

The £3.4 million construction contract is due to run until December 2024 and the four buildings will be finished in phases. The programme plans to have Huber in occupation of Building I by the end of September 2024.

The main contract is being undertaken by Litton Construction. The professional team consists of Architects The Harris Partnership, Eastwood Civil and Structural Engineers and Castle Owen are acting as Employers Agent. Development finance has been provided by Handelsbanken, Sheffield.

Phase 8 will see completion of the ‘Western Area’ of the site which faces the adjoining Aldi store and makes significant progress in bringing the project forward to final completion.
