A joint venture with Buccleuch Property to develop a prominent city centre site within walking distance of both universities for a 850 bedroom student accommodation scheme with ground floor retail units. The project comprises four blocks ranging from 5 storeys to 15 storeys offering a mix of studio and cluster flats. The scheme is likely to have a Sheffield Hallam University Nominations Agreement.
The circa £80 million scheme will now start on site in early 2019 in view of planning delays but will be completed in the summer of 2021 ready for that year’s student intake.
The scheme has been sold to Fusion Student Living, a leading national owner operator. Fusion were joint applicants and managed the application process.
